Trauma Plasters
2019
printed acetate plasters in first aid box / photographs sewn on bandaid
To repeat to visit a traumatic memory makes its power over you soften and dilutes the impact. This leads you to then have somewhat control over the memory. It allows us to avoid the constant fear of mental triggers. The repetition of something creates an order. This project is based around someone close to me who had very severe mental triggers. I explored these triggers in a way of repeating them to try create a way to mend the trauma. Trauma plasters.
